Soon to move..

Well, Joe and I are very excited for our upcoming move. A week tomorrow. I took off a few days from work so I can be there for the animals to settle in, and for myself to start decorating. Everything is taken care of at this point, we decided to take out some money with the mortgage to do some renovations so we are still deciding what we think we want to do first. We are for sure getting a new furnace, and re-wiring the house, because those are things we pretty much have to do. The kitchen is pretty much for sure getting done...It works and what not, but it is ugly and out dated. We plan on ripping down the one wall that is separating the kitchen from the dining room and opening it all up. We will be getting new floors, new cabinets, and changing the layout of things....basically maximizing the space. We plan on putting in a microwave range hood so we don't have to take up any counter space, and Joe plans on installing a gas stove.

We are allowing ourselves to do another project, however we haven't decided what yet. At first the plan was to do the upstairs bathroom because again it is out dated and the space isn't used well, but now we are thinking we may want to put up a nice wooden fence in the backyard and make it private and make the backyard a little piece of paradise. I wanted to put in a fish pond but Joe says it's not a good idea. So we still have to make up our minds on what we want to do. Joe says if we don't do the bathroom now we will wait until we have saved up some money to do it next year maybe.. I don't really mind, I mean the bathroom is small but I think I can put up with it for a while. I rather have a nice backyard....for many reasons. Of course for our little Marley...But also a nice retreat for Joe and I to come home to...so we can just sit out on the deck and relax...it would also make it a great backyard to entertain. Were hoping to one day buy a hot tub as well... a portable one that we can take with us when we move. Joe and I both really want one and it would be awesome at the new house, however this is something we will have to save for.

It's all very exciting, I didn't think I would be so luckey to have this at such a young age. I can't wait to get in and start painting and making it our own. Tonight we are going to get some boxes so we can start packing... I want it to be an organized move. Joe's parents are still being pretty annoying and bitter and they still don't seem happy for Joe and I. Joe couldn't be bothered (he says) But it is really pissing me off. I can't stand talking to either one of them about the house because they are so negative and they just nag to Joe about stuff he has to do. Joe's brother John was also a bitter loser, because he is so clearly jealous. I made a remark at the dinner table saying Joe and I are the first kids out of 10 kids to have bought a house...and I don't think he liked that. But they can all kiss my bum, when they decide to be pleasant and happy for us then I'll start caring what they have to say.

This weekend Joe and I are off to Monkton for Liz and Chris's stag and doe. I guess Chris's family is from there and they are throwing a pig roast. Should be ok...Having it out of town is abit inconvenient however. After that we will be quite busy coming up to the big move...I work an early day on Wednesday so I asked mom if she wants to go to Ikea, and then Thursday we get the keys to our new home, and I have that day and Friday and Monday off! Can't wait.

It is time to go though,
i will write again soon!
Bye for now!
