Introducing Zen

Yes we got another puppy..

Little Zen joined our family Tuesday September 22nd. She is a Shiba Inu, which is a very rare breed. It is a Japanese breed and they are very hard to come about. I have only seen one in London and once I saw it I knew the next dog I was going to get would be a Shiba Inu. They are full of personality, and are just the cutest dogs. When they get older they look alot like foxes. We needed another dog because Marley is very needy and needs a play mate.We also looked into the future and when we have a real human baby he will need someone to keep him occupied, since we wont be able to dedicate all of our attention to him like we do now. Shiba Inu's are very active dogs and require alot of exercise like Shepherds..there are alot of similarities with the two breeds, however Shibas only get to be about 25 lbs...and since we didn't want another big dog, because I simply can't control two big dogs, we decided a Shiba was the breed for us. I find I relate alot to a Shiba, and in my opinion if I was a dog I would be that breed...lol.

So far she is doing great. Her and Marley are great together, he is already very protective of her. They play all night long, and it makes it so nice for Joe and I because we don't feel guilty anymore, looking at Marley laying down by himself. Now he is running around with little Zenny, and although she is small, she does keep up. I have to go though, still no Internet at the house, im at mom and dads. I will write again soon, i have really funny videos of Marley and Zen playing, however i dont have time to put them on...so here are a few pics of the new baby...she is just precious. More to come!!

Welcome to the Strong home

Hello there. I'm inviting you to take a look at our home - 1340 Wilton Ave. Here are some pictures of some of the rooms, however we still have work to do, and I will post more pictures in the future. We will be starting the kitchen renovations hopefully in the next couple of weeks. Enjoy!

Some of my favourite pieces so far...

I absolutly love this light fixture. I knew I wanted something different for this space, and not the typical formal chandaler thing, so I saw this at Home Depot and loved it. This is one of the pieces everyone notices when they come in the house, and everyone seems to really love it. At first when I was explaining this light fixture to Joe he was abit hesitant, however when he saw it in the dining room hung up, he loved it - I think i did well with this one and it really brings some character into the space.

When we moved into the house this mirror was already there, however it had no frame- Joe did an excellent job on the frame and stained it a nice colour. Adds alot of drama.



Haven't done too much in the bedroom yet...this is the colour that was already painted and we both really like it so were keeping it the colour it is. It is a small bedroom but it's cozy and gets alot of light.

A busy weekend...

Well hello there...I'm at mom and dad's now, that is why Iam finally able to use the internet.

This weekend was a busy one, we had Liz's wedding and we had Joe's grandparents, Vickey, his Aunt Valerie, and cousins Josh and Craig, as well as Kaity, Brandon and Ethan, and of course Zack over to show off the new house. They all loved the house and were very impressed how great it looked.

So the wedding was pretty horrible...Joe mentioned while he was listening to the speeches that it was one of the worst days of his life...he is probably exsagerating a wee bit, however we both didn't enjoy ourselves at all. It was far to early to have a wedding and we were extremely rushed in the morning because we had to drive Marley to Joe's parents which is a far drive from the new house and from there we had to drive down town to the grand theatre and then find parking. The wedding started at 11am and Joseph and myself strolled in at about 10:59...we thought we would look bad, however John and Renee walked in while Kaity (maid of honor) was walking down, so they looked much worse then Joe and myself. The ceremony was barfarific...If I didn't know it was a wedding ceremony I never would have thought it....It was like a horrible church service, I think the pastor mentioned Liz and Chris once, the rest was about God...the Lord oh mighty. It was quite rediculous...Everything the pastor said was a load of shit and it was very hard to listen to.

It was about 11:45 am when we all started drinking...which is the rediculous thing about such an early wedding. The ceremony took place in the theater and then the after part was outside of the thetre in a big open space. It was basically just sitting around drinking, chatting with some family, but not really considering we saw them two weeks ago at the stag and doe. This is was is so rediculous about having weddings so close together. One of the reasons weddings are nice is because you get to see family you haven't seen in a long time, and you get to catch up....Well at this point we already had our stag and doe, our wedding, liz's stag and doe, and now this wedding....soo stupid. You don't even care to talk to anyone because you have already done the stupid small talk 3 times in the last couple of months. You could tell nobody was having much fun, and everyone was just going threw the motions.

The speeches were very hard to listen to....Chris's brother is a huge loser like himself, Kaity's speech was pretty lame, but you can't blame her because it's hard to write a maid of honour speech when you hardly have a relationship with the bride. Joe's dad speech was in everyone else's eyes very heart warming and emotional...he was crying, and many people were also crying...can't say Joe or myself shread a tear. So at this point we were all ready to leave...it was so boring...no dancing, no good music...nothing...the food was even pathedic... it was all appitizer like foods and we hardly got any food at all...the whole time I ate two little pieces of honey garlic sausage..thats it. Everytime we went to the table to grab some food it was all gone....shitty deals.

We got cut off by the bitchy bartender at around 2:30pm....none of us were even drunk, but we were asking for shots after shots...lol, hey we had to make our own fun. After that there was no point of staying so we took off and left to the Strong household. Apparently after our little group left Joe's whole family left because once we got to the Strong household everyone started arriving a couple mins after we got there. So nobody stayed for cake of anything I guess...lol, thats what you get when you plan a gay loser wedding. What is crazy is they spent quite abit more on there wedding then us... craziness.

Anyways the rest of the night was pretty lame, this is because by 5pm all of us were so tired and just wanted to sleep. that is why you don't have early weddings....it just doesn't work! But were glad that is all over with....I thought I was going to get a nice break from Joe's family for awhile...not to be mean, but I mean we have seen alot of them lately....and ya know....

But Sunday morning Joe gets a call on his cell phone from Vickey saying that Joe's grandparents, herself, Valerie and Josh and craig and then rest of them want to see the house... so then no sleep in for me, I had to get up and clean the house....so much fun! They stayed for a few hours, loved the house, I liked Josh and craig and Val being there because they are awesome, and so much fun to be around..But I was happy when everyone left, Ethan stuck around with Zack so we took the dogs to the dog park and then after ate some burgers and went to the drive in at night...busy busy. Now another shitty week of work...great...! A nice long weekend coming up though...I took off Friday so that's 4 days to enjoy..thank god.

Life is good..

hello everyone

woah things for myself have been really busy and since we don't have the internet yet Iam writing from our computers in the lunch room at work while i'm on my break.

The house is amazing, and we are loving it. We are basically done decorating in the living room and dining room and I must say they both look amazing. Iam very proud of myself since I planned out everything in regards to decor. I had a colour sceme and it works perfectly and really brings out the character in the house. The bedrooms don't need anything done to them really, they already had nice colours on the wall so I left them as they were. The electrical work is being done this weekend by the master electrician and his apprentice from Joe's work. We got all the supplies yesterday, and recieved a 55% discount since Joe works with them...it helps having connections in the trades lol. So once that is done we then will be getting a new furnance and starting the kitchen renovations. I can't wait to have the kitchen done because right now all the kitchen things are still in boxes so it's hard to find things and eat nice meals.

Having a deck and a nice fenced in yard is unreal. Marley is never really inside the house anymore, as he refuses to come when he is called because he rather be sitting on the grass then in the house...can't blame him i guess..he is a dog. The deck is amazing and Mom and dad were so nice to get us a BBQ- it is a really nice one and we have used it every night. We also bought new pation furniture and it looks awesome too. We still have yet to have a bon fire, but we plan to have one this weekend. The neighborhood is great and we have already met the neighbors. I get waves from random people that live on the street when I walk by...kind of nice. Not like snotty north end people. Our neighbors to the right are a nice old couple. We got very luckey with them because they used to have german shepherds and love dogs, so as soon as she saw Marley he went over to the fence and started licking her face, while she said "I love you, I love you". They also grow vegtables and she gave Joe and I tones of tomatoes...they look great, however I don't like tomatoes, but Joe does and he had some on a burger the other day. They are really good people and we couldnt have gotten better neighbors.

So life is very good...busy, but good. The wedding is next weekend so that should be interesting...lol. We shall see, at least it adds some spunk to the wedding considering it will be a ceremony all about god...so ya. I got to go though...must get back to work....

helloooo there!!

I haven't been able to write an entry for awhile because Joe and myself have been CRAZY BUSY! however I need to update you on a few things. In regards to the occasion at the stag and doe, all is good. There was a misconception of who heard what....but No one in Joe's family apparently heard this crazy women screaming at us so that is why nobody stepped in. Everyone in the family is very much on Joe's side, and they are actually proud of him for stepping up. He got many apologies however still not one from Chris and obv his mother. There was a rehearsal dinner at Chris's moms house planned soon, but Wayner told Chris that no one from the family will be attending. The plan was after the wedding everyone was going to be coming back to Joe's parents because it's an afternoon wedding, and Joe's dad also told Chris that no one from his family is welcome...hahah. So everything is good and Joe feels 100% better about that. It changes things when you actually hear other peoples perspectives. And after we left apparently Joe's grandparents stormed out to, and basically the whole family....so everyone was standing up for us. Also this crazy biatch went off on quite a few people in Joe's family, his Aunt, Renee and others....talk about a freckin looney...All I can say is good luck Liz!! hahah


I don't have any time now but I will post pictures of our newly decorated house...looks amazing so far but we still have work to do!!

Still in abit of Shock...

What is Family? To me Family is there for you no matter what, they will defend you, and stand up for you no matter what happens. I am just appauled of what accured last night, and my heart goes out to Joe...This is what happened.

So yesterday was Liz's (Joe's sister) stag and doe...more like a bbq outside asking for money from everyone. This was taking place in Monkton, about an hour and a half from London. Joe worked all day but he left early so we could go, we also brought our boom box like they requested so they would have music at this thing. This event was at Chris's (Liz's fiance) dad's carney house, and as soon as we got there we got very weird vibes...Chris's sisters were all giving me and Kaity (Joe's sis) dirty looks for no reason...but at the time we thought nothing of it. We then had the pleasure of meeting Chris's mom...who was already very drunk at 4 pm. The first thing she says to Joe is " Oh you have been the talk of many of our dinner conversations" What the hell does that mean?? He just met this women...Which means Liz and Chris have been talking shit about Joe...not much of a surprise. But what a strange this to say to someone when you first meet them. But at the time we again thought nothing of it.

It was pouring the whole time, however we made the best of it. We went around talking to all of Joe's family, everyone apparently knew we bought a house so that was what most people were asking of about. We then ate, it was a pig roast... and we were sitting down at our picnic table minding our own business, we were achually talking to Joe's little cousin who is 9 and he was telling us about his soccer game that he played in earlier that day. All of a sudden Chris's crazy, drunken, bitch of a mom comes over to our table and starts screaming in our faces...At first we all thought it was a joke, but she didn't stop...We all looked at each other puzzled...and didn't know what was going on...This women was literally screaming in our faces, attacking us verbally. She was so wasted it was achually scary. You should have seen our faces....we didn't even know what to think. She was screaming that we said the salad was bad, and that we complained there were too many little kids, and that we hated the pork....and all this other bullshit...I couldn't believe it...Iam seriously still in shock. We were all calm with her, and made her look like a fucking idiot, stating we didn't say any of that stuff and asked her what she was on about....She said her aunt and cousins came up to her and were listening to our conversations and said that we said all that...She wouldn't stop though...this 50 year old lady screaming at us, like right in our faces...I could tell Joe was biting his lip and he was doing a good job at staying calm. Joe's cousin Jacinta then got up to get Eddy out of there because he is only 9 and she didn't think he should hear the nasty stuff coming out of her mouth...and when she got up the bitch started shit with her for getting up and leaving. She then started getting in Kaity's face saying things like " How dare you" for no reason...This was all out of no where. The whole day we were minding our business talking to family, we achually hung out with Liz most of the day. Kaity then got very upset, she said to the witch " How dare you" And she got up and left, she was basically in tears.

That was the breaking point for Joe...He stood up and handled it very well. I don't remember his exact words, however he shut her up, and said he wasn't going to sit there and listen to her verbally attack his family and himself. Liz then started screaming at Joe to shut up, and Joe's dad told Joe to shut it and grabbed him and said for him to leave. At this point it was complete silence at the bbq....Joe asked Wayne to take his hands off him and then he would leave...and Wayne didnt let him go...Joe asked him again very calmly to get his hands off of him, and he finally let him go. Liz was screaming to Joe to stop...where I then yelled back to her to leave him alone, and that he did nothing wrong. We then went around front to leave and Wayne was walking with Joe...me trailing behind. We both just wanted to get the hell out of there...and Wayne was being just awful. Telling Joe to shut up, when he was trying to tell his dad what happened and that he wasn't at wrong. You see ever since Joe was young both of his parents have sided against him for whatever reason...They are never on his side, Joe has been affected by this in some way...but he wont admit it. I honestly couldn't believe how his dad handled it...It makes me sick to my stomach when I think about it. He was so unfair. He told Joe he should be a man for go say sorry....WHAT!!?!

Joe, myself, Kaity and Brandon all left after this happened. It's just ridiculous to think, but as soon as we left Wayne and Vickey were probably going over to that bitch and saying how sorry they were for Joe. They were probably kissing her ass and that makes me want to vomit. I'm sorry but if you hear you son and your daughter getting yelled at by some drunken women for no reason at all you put that bitch back in her place and defend your children the best you can. Not one person....not one bloody person stood up for us. Out of all the adults there, not one had the balls to stand up and tell her to shut up. Joe's whole family were sitting right near us, and clearly heard this women verbally attack us.....and no one stood up for us. This 50 year old lady is standing there screaming in our faces.. 18 year olds, 9 year old, 22 years old....Like common!!!

At now what...Joe looks like the bad guy, why?? Because Joe's dad, Liz, all made him look like a bloody idiot...He is out right furious. He has been affected by this huge and he will not be attending the wedding or speaking to any of them until they apologize to him. I just can't seem to stop thinking about what happened...I feel so bad for Joe, and he is the kind of guy that will try and hide that it is bothering him, but I know inside he is hurting really bad.

As if his own sister sided with Chris's mom over Joe. That's like saying if Vickey started bitching out Martin I would side with her....It's just mind boggling to me. She was screaming at Joe for him to shut up and she said nothing....not one thing to Chris's mom. It's just sad...Because Joe would never, never ever leave one of his siblings out to dry....no matter what, no matter where.

About 10 mins after leaving Joe called his dad. He said that If you and mom go over there and say sorry to that crazy bitch I will not be in contact with you for a long time, and what did Wayne do...He hung up on Joe. They haven't called or anything. This morning before Joe went to work he wrote an email to his mom, dad and Liz. He wanted them to know how he feels and how disappointed he is with all of them.

Were both still in shock really, I can't believe this women. She needs to go back to the loony bin.
As if that is Liz's mother in law....woah, no matter how good a guy is I wouldn't never marry him if he had a mother like that. I thought I had it shitty....but holy shit, god help Liz.

I can't say our lifes are boring....however this is just sad. Joe doesn't deserve any of this, and that is what makes me the most upset. However Iam a great believer of things happen for a reason, so we will see what happens next...I'll keep you posted. Poor little Joey baby :(
